Remember that old track on Industrial Strength?

Anyway, here I am in Berlin! What a night last night. Over 600 people on a Wednesday night at Maria. Despite a small bout of food poisoning from airplane food and jet lag, your boy still rocked it. I'm not the Last DJ On Earth for nothing =) God, what fun. Always good to see the familiar faces like Max from Tresor, Dash and Dry, Henk from Sender Berlin, and Pacou, who gave me a ton of new-release promos. Pacou was like "So when are you flying out?" I said, "I'm not! I live here now!" It felt good to say that =)

It's funny, I've got actual fans here too. This girl who was at my Tresor gig back in April had a babydoll T she made with my face on it. I'll try to get a pic of it. I might just manufacture those myself, the way she had it was very creative. But then again, if I did it, I'd be an egomaniac. =)

This guy also turned up with one of the "Detroit: Beyond the Third Wave" records for me to autograph (in case you don't know, I did the album cover art for it).

After a good night's sleep and a full recovery, I'm on the balcony now writing to you. Wireless internet, what a concept. Weather is great. Guess I'll get something to eat and then roam around, this is a whole new part of the city than what I'm used to.

Oh, if you got the newsletter, the link to the "Elektrofive" track was wrong. Cut and paste this link and you should be able to hear it:

Off to Vienna this weekend. More news to come so stay tuned!

  • As a recently relocated American, let me be the first to say "Wilkommen in Berlin". Ok, well probably not the first person, but at least the first post here. Anyways, I've been a big fan of your work since I first heard it back in the US, and am looking forward to see you rock out some of the clubs here.

  • Sqook, weren't you at Vision when I played there in April? What brings you to Germany besides the music?

Radiance, I am in Mitte now, every other time I've been/lived here it was in Kreuzberg. It's a big difference.

  • Alan,
Yeah, I was at that show... I believe you played with Adam Beyer. I'm surprised that you remember me from back then. ;)

And I'm writing software here. Been here about a month trying to start my own firm... so far, it's been a lot of work, but I'm optimistic.

I see you're living in Mitte... very cool. I'm in kreuzberg myself, so I think I know what you're talking about as far as the "difference" goes. It's a great part of town for sure, but I also am not sure if I'll stay in this district when my lease runs out. Anyways, hope the unpacking isn't too bad for you... international moves are a bitch!
