From The Digital Sweatshop
The Music, Art and Travels of Alan D. Oldham a.k.a. DJ T-1000.

Happy Holidays from Chitown.

Just sitting here in the studio drinking coffee and working on this new EP. It's the DJ T-1000 "comeback" record. Forget bringing sexy back, I'm bringing evil back. Putting all my anger, frustration and resentment into the music, where it belongs.

Also did a vocal session for the trip-hop album last Friday, a great experience! My friend Jimmy is engineering the sessions.

I've been so busy making my own entertainment, I haven't seen any new movies or anything. TV bores me this season. I was out of the country for over a month, so I don't know what's happening in "Lost" or "Desperate Housewives." I think the problem this season is there's too much to remember with these shows. The old-school "Law & Order" format, where they solve a case at the end, is making a comeback.

I did manage to see the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last week, though, my God. Those are some of the most beautiful women on Earth. Save your crying about skinny models, blah blah blah. Don't wanna hear it. They're hot. I liked the fashions too, especially when they wore their angel wings. They looked like bad-ass superheroes. They had Giselle Bundchen swoop down on wires at the end, that was the shit.

I wish I was in an industry where I was invited to things like that.

This Friday, 15 December, there's a meet-and-greet for me from 5-8 pm at No Friction Cafe here in Chicago. I'll be showing the artwork from my L.A. show, and copies of "The Art of Transformation" CD and "The Sexy Adventures of Orietta St. Cloud" comic book/CD/vinyl will be on sale. No Friction is at 2023 N. California (Blue Line stop: California) in Bucktown. 773-278-7170 for more info.

No Friction has the best hot chocolate so come have some with me.

Later that night I'm going to Double Door to see my old friend from Detroit, Lauren Flax, who now lives in NYC and is spinning for some rock band now.

Then, 16 December, I'm in Cleveland for Blitzen 2. That should rock. I'm really looking forward to it.

If I don't talk to you, have a Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa (although I'm not sure Kwanzaa people actually read this blog) and Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish friends (strangely I bet more Jews than Black folks read this, let me know if I'm wrong).

PS: I put three unreleased DJ T-1000 tracks on my Myspace page, have a listen.
