The issue of Slices with me in it is out. Yay! My copies just came today. I look good on camera. Check out www.sensemusic.de and get one.

I also have a cameo in the Richie Hawtin documentary. There's a live Cybersonik performance circa 1990 in which I MCed for the band. Pretty wild. I saw it and cringed. Thankfully, I wasn't identified in the actual DVD but if you see the film, there I am.

I saw the Jeff Mills "Blue Potential" DVD. It was great. For those who don't know, a full orchestra is performing Jeff Mills compositions in an open-air venue. It's beautiful. An orchestra with a 909 kick under it. Techno tracks become film music before your eyes. People should be turning backflips over this DVD, it's a shame. It's even dumber when you hear the total bullshit people *are* going crazy over.

The Octave One DVD, "Off The Grid," is cool, too. It's a real film. I liked how they would cut the same track between different perfomances. Very creative. The new tracks are the shit, too. "Rock My Dub" is the one.

I guess it's time for me to finally do my own documentary! I've been sitting on hours of live footage from all over the world for literally years. I recently found out a neighbor of mine is a video editor, so I guess that's a sign.

Oh, here are some photos of the latest art installation at No Friction Cafe here in the Chi. The art will be up at least 'till February if not longer. By spring, there will be some new big pieces for you to look at (and hopefully BUY, cough), I'm working on them right now.

No Friction is at 2023 N. California between Milwaukee and Armitage in Bucktown. 773-278-7170. Try the hot chocolate, it's gooooooood.

Last weekend I played a gig in Cleveland called Blitzen 2. It was the shit. The production was tight. The crowd was young, happy, colorful and insane. Midwest raves are back and not a minute too soon. I'm blessed to be a part of it all over again. The party was a smash and the promoter made a lot of money, so I think there'll be more.

Happy Holidays from Chitown.

Just sitting here in the studio drinking coffee and working on this new EP. It's the DJ T-1000 "comeback" record. Forget bringing sexy back, I'm bringing evil back. Putting all my anger, frustration and resentment into the music, where it belongs.

Also did a vocal session for the trip-hop album last Friday, a great experience! My friend Jimmy is engineering the sessions.

I've been so busy making my own entertainment, I haven't seen any new movies or anything. TV bores me this season. I was out of the country for over a month, so I don't know what's happening in "Lost" or "Desperate Housewives." I think the problem this season is there's too much to remember with these shows. The old-school "Law & Order" format, where they solve a case at the end, is making a comeback.

I did manage to see the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last week, though, my God. Those are some of the most beautiful women on Earth. Save your crying about skinny models, blah blah blah. Don't wanna hear it. They're hot. I liked the fashions too, especially when they wore their angel wings. They looked like bad-ass superheroes. They had Giselle Bundchen swoop down on wires at the end, that was the shit.

I wish I was in an industry where I was invited to things like that.

This Friday, 15 December, there's a meet-and-greet for me from 5-8 pm at No Friction Cafe here in Chicago. I'll be showing the artwork from my L.A. show, and copies of "The Art of Transformation" CD and "The Sexy Adventures of Orietta St. Cloud" comic book/CD/vinyl will be on sale. No Friction is at 2023 N. California (Blue Line stop: California) in Bucktown. 773-278-7170 for more info.

No Friction has the best hot chocolate so come have some with me.

Later that night I'm going to Double Door to see my old friend from Detroit, Lauren Flax, who now lives in NYC and is spinning for some rock band now.

Then, 16 December, I'm in Cleveland for Blitzen 2. That should rock. I'm really looking forward to it.

If I don't talk to you, have a Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa (although I'm not sure Kwanzaa people actually read this blog) and Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish friends (strangely I bet more Jews than Black folks read this, let me know if I'm wrong).

PS: I put three unreleased DJ T-1000 tracks on my Myspace page, have a listen.

Upcoming for 2007.

*I'm listening to "Elektrofive" now. Longtime readers of this blog know it's the electro project I've been working on under the name The Neon Sex Fiend. Remixes from DJ K-1 (Aux 88) and Ultradyne are in and they're the absolute shit. 100% Detroit for that ass. Coming out the beginning of next year on Generator (yes, Generator).

*Right now I am working on my DJ T-1000 comeback record. I've been in the studio non-stop working on it since I got back from Berlin. 100% techno, no bullshit. I'm two tracks into a four-track EP. Too soon to tell what label it will appear on.

*Starting next week I'll also be working on vocal sessions for The Inside "Champagne For My Real Friends, Real Pain For My Sham Friends." This is the dark trip-hop album. Think Massive Attack, Curve, NIN, etc. This will be the second release on my new CD-only, lowtempo label xfive, and the follow-up to "The Art of Transformation." Limited to 100 copies. Spring 2007.

(By the way, "The Art of Transformation" sold like hotcakes. There are only a few left, so if you want one, please click the button on your lower left-hand side. And if you want it signed, let us know when you place your order!)

*Finally, I'm working on both my one-man Berlin gallery show in April (new pieces), and the new Johnny Gambit comic. When I need a break from the studio, I work on some pages. It's looking HOT if I do say so myself.

*Also currently negotiating DJ gigs from now through March '07 in the USA, and April-May '07 in Europe. For bookings, kindly contact us at bookings@puresonikrecords.net.

OK, gotta get back to it. Have a good weekend!
