International Design Star?

Thursday, February 19, 2009

So apparently, not only am I this kickass Detroit Techno producer/DJ (said with tongue-in-cheek), I've been getting some hype in some international design magazines as well.

The first piece below is from Poland's Voxdesign magazine. I was asked to write an essay on the relationship between my DJ travels, music I produce, and my art style. I was very fortunate to have been asked. The editor loved my writing and I was poised to write more, but Voxdesign got cancelled. Damn this economy.

Below is an article from Mexico Design magazine. It's from a few years ago but I just now took the time to scan it. The article is about famous people who do more than one thing creatively. As you can see, this one had more of my art in it. I was very flattered to be in the same company as John Malkovich and David Lynch, if only for the space of one article! Plus I was number one on the list!

As always, click to make images bigger/read the articles (if you can read Polish and/or Spanish). Special thanks to Anna Krenz (Voxdesign) and Monica Lopez (Mexico Design).
