New Painting.

Wednesday, February 03, 2010

Years ago, I did a comic book called "The Untouchabots." It's just what it sounds like. "The Untouchables" meets "Transformers." Although they didn't really transform in the original comic. It was the first comic book I ever did that got printed (although I never got paid for it). It predated "Johnny Gambit" (which I did get paid for). The idea wasn't mine, this other guy wrote it and I just drew it. It was the days of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." Everybody had some dumb idea, trying to get rich. Anyway, years later, a friend of mine who was just a kid back then hired me to do a big painting of the Untouchabots. Check it out above. 24" x 36", acrylic, watercolor and spray paint on canvas. Here's the cover of the original one-and-only issue from 1986. I've seen it all over the internet for as low as a quarter. LOL.
